YEONG SEAK LING & YUEN CHEE LING

Yeong Seak Ling and Yuen Chee Ling is certainly Penang's preeminent artistic family. Both are full time painters and have built a strong base of collectors in Penang.

Having started their careers in watercolour painting, both artists now paint in oils and acrylics.

Seak Ling's past pallet of pigeons and colonial buildings are now fill with romantic images of a time slightly past in Malaysia, somewhat evocative and at time almost heroic efforts of the kampong folks of the fishing villages of the past.

Chee Ling paintings celebrates the womenfolk's in their social context… from their roles in child bearing to social interaction. She squeezes her subjects into clay like sculptures and is able to breath life in a moment of their life.

The Exhibition at Art Salon is Seak Ling's first in Kuala Lumpur and Chee Ling third with the gallery.
