JANSEN CHOW:
Watercolourist Extrodinaire
Jansen Chow is an artist who does more than work hard at perfecting
his craft. He also takes the time and trouble to have his works evaluated
in international art competitions.
Amazingly he has been awarded 5 Signature Memberships with 5
different watercolour associations: 4 in America and one in Canada.
These Signature Memberships are awarded after 3 of Jansen’s paintings have been accepted for exhibition in the organisation’s annual event.
Amongst his achievements was being the first non-Canadian to walk away with the First Prize in the 2003 show.
Jansen is the only Asian artist to be so widely recognised for his masterly watercolour.
As a young artist, Jansen has excelled in his art, earning recognition worldwide. Art Salon is pleased to continue to represent Jansen, showcasing his latest works.

NURTURING YOUNG TALENTS
Art Tuition in Petaling Jaya

Every Saturday and Sunday, a group of eager-eyed youngsters would come to Jansen’s studio to learn the art of watercolour painting from the master.
The result often surprises parents and teachers.
In fact, there was one year when his friend’s son was preparing for the PMR and came back with a “D” for art.
So the father sent him along to Jansen, with the hope that he may learn something.
The outcome was so good; his school art teacher singled him out to re-sit the art paper.
From a “D” in the previous art test, the teacher now thought he deserved an “A”.
And all this was a result of just 8 short weeks with Jansen.
Looking at the works of his students will give you a sense of his ability to impart knowledge and skills.
